Bertin and parent-company CNIM will be present at the World Nuclear Exhibition – WNE, the first platform dedicated to the civil nuclear sector, organized by GIFEN from November 30 to December 2, 2021. On this special occasion, Bertin will not miss the opportunity to showcase its comprehensive portfolio of solutions dedicated to the detection, measurement and monitoring of ionizing radiations, including: dose rate meters, radiation protection and contamination control devices, environmental radiation monitoring systems, professional Radon monitors, as well as radiation portal monitors.
As for the WNE Awards, Bertin is competing for the “Product and Services innovation/Big group” category with SaphyGATE GN, its new Gamma-Neutron radiation portal monitor.
Developed in partnership with the List Institute of the French Alternative Energies & Atomic Energy Commission, the SaphyGATE GN is a new-generation portal monitor able to discriminate gamma and neutron radiations automatically, without using Helium-3 detectors. This system is perfectly adapted to the fight against illicit movements of radioactive sources in critical areas, such as ports, airports, borders, and any other sensitive infrastructure, by performing a non-invasive inspection of people and loads.
Specially designed to fulfil the requirements of border security, nuclear facility monitoring, and event protection, the SaphyGATE GN distinguishes itself by its ability to detect both artificial and natural radioactive sources of very low activity, and to discriminate Special Nuclear Materials that can be found in dirty bombs and Radiological Dispersion Devices.
The 2021 edition of the WNE Awards is already a success as 137 applications have been submitted by 84 exhibiting companies which are all determined to share their expertise and latest technological innovations. The traditional WNE Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday November 30 at 5 PM, and will reward the most innovative projects as well as the World’s best talents of the civil nuclear industry.
