Context
This study focuses on the extraction and purification of total nucleic acids (TNA) from air volumes sampled with the Coriolis Micro, an air sampler developed by Bertin Technologies. These samples were then processed with the Maxwell® RSC Enviro Total Nucleic Acid Kit and the Maxwell® RSC instrument from Promega to analyze both viruses and bacteria present in the air.
The objective of the study is to demonstrate the efficiency of the workflow, including the Coriolis Micro for air sampling and the Maxwell® system for nucleic acid purification from large volumes of air samples, in an environmental and pathogen detection context.
