Nowadays, Radon monitoring is strictly supervised, especially for professional activities taking place underground or in first floors, in areas potentially presenting high Radon levels.

Designed in several steps, Radon risk assessment is essential to ensure the protection of workers that may be exposed to this radioactive natural gas. This approach consists in collecting information on the concerned areas, estimating Radon concentration, and carrying out integrated measurements with passive dosimeters.  In case of a concentration exceeding the threshold set at 300Bq/m3, Radon mitigation actions must be taken. If, despite this, Radon concentration remains too high, delimiting a Radon zone can be necessary, as well as ensuring a close monitoring of workers operating in this environment through dosimetry.
