Context
The extraction of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) from murine samples is a standard practice for many biological applications. It is therefore of upmost importance to make sure that an advancement in development does not affect the yield and the quality of these molecules, while still being able to take advantage of the efficiency of homogenization that the 3D bead-beating technology provides.
In this Application Note, we present a comparison of the DNA and RNA extractions obtained with samples that were homogenized with the Precellys 24 and the new Precellys 24 Touch. We also present how the efficient protocol of the Nucleic Acid Extraction kits of Bertin Bioreagents enables high yields of total DNA and RNA from mice tissue samples.
