Context
Obtaining single primary cells from liver tissue has long been recognized as a crucial technique for advancing our understanding of physiological and pathological phenomena. The liver, being a central organ in metabolism, detoxification, and immune response, necessitates detailed cellular analysis to unravel its complex functions and disease mechanisms. This approach holds significant promise for the future of medical treatments, including cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and personalized medicine tailored to hepatic conditions. However, despite the substantial interest and potential of this technique, achieving viable single cells remains a significant challenge. In this context, the Precellys Multi Tissue Dissociation kit by Bertin Technologies emerges as an effective solution, providing an efficient method for dissociating tissues into single cells.
In this application note, we present the results obtained with the Precellys Multi Tissue Dissociation kit kit in combination with Precellys Evolution Touch (or Precellys Evolution) for the dissociation of mice’s livers into single cells.
For this study, we used tissue samples from mice housed under standard animal facility conditions, without any specific treatment (UAR BioMedTech Facilities).
