Second Sight® system, standoff gas cloud detector for real time surveillance, has been used by Brazilian firefighters during a demonstration on April 28th, 2017. The fire brigade has monitored the congress area and its esplanade in order to ensure security during the demonstration.
Among the technologies used, there is a camera Second Sight®, a fixed capture and gas identification system, based on multispectral imaging technology, for the safety of large installations and critical areas. Brasilia have already used the Second Sight® to monitor major events like the 2014 World Cup Soccer and Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The Second Sight® MS, in situations such as those manifestations in Brazil, can identify at a safe distance (up to 5 kilometers) chemical substances that might be used as weapons.
Brazilian firefighters are today the most prepared for CBRN / HAZMAT threats in Latin America’s urban environments, thanks to their equipment and know-how.
