Context

Optical feeder links are increasingly drawing the attention of satellite operators as potential game changers in Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS) system solutions. The high throughput comes with wavelength and polarization multiplexing as well as high-power beams for trans-atmospheric transmission. High Power MUltipeXer (HPMUX) at ground station and on board (inside the FiTT – Fiber To Telescope module) enables to multiplex high-power lasers with different wavelengths and linear polarizations.
