Bacteria are present in large numbers in livestock buildings, and can threaten animal and public health. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a major concern worldwide, and national measures based on the “One Health” approach are being implemented in many countries.
However, very little is known about the risk of AMR in livestock barn aerosols, and in particular about its association with antimicrobial use (AMU).
In this article, find out how the use of Coriolis Micro has enabled us to highlight the AMR profile of Staphylococcus bacteria, the main bacterial genus found on Japanese farms.
