Context

Obtaining single primary cells from spleen tissue has long been recognized as a crucial technique for advancing our understanding of immune system functions and related physiological processes. The spleen, a key organ in the immune response and blood filtration, necessitates detailed cellular analysis to uncover its complex roles in health and disease. This approach holds significant promise for future research endeavors, including immunology studies, disease modeling, and therapeutic development targeted at immune-related conditions. However, achieving viable single cells from spleen tissue remains a significant challenge. In this context, the Precellys Multi Tissue Dissociation kit by Bertin Technologies emerges as a valuable solution, offering an efficient method for dissociating tissues into single cells.

In this application note, we present the results obtained with the Precellys Multi Tissue Dissociation kit in combination with Precellys Evolution Touch (or Precellys Evolution) for the dissociation of mice spleen tissues into single cells.

For this study, we used tissue samples from mice housed under standard animal facility conditions, without any specific treatment (UAR BioMedTech Facilities).
